Oak Tennis AssociationThe Lone Oak Tennis Association (LOTA) was formed in the fall of 1986. Maintenance
and court improvements were the initial goals for the Association.
Initially, four courts were built with funds from the Lone Oak Lions
Club and a grant from the Federal Land and Water Conservation Act.
Prior to the continuing efforts of the LOTA, all improvements were accomplished
by private donations and fund raising. First step of action for
the LOTA
was to make long-range goals in phases for the Tennis Center.
LOTA’s goals are to build and maintain a first class facility that the tennis community can enjoy and to promote tennis within the entire area. We have accomplished this task with outstanding efforts on behalf of the members of the Association.
Our funds are obtained by fund raising and individual donations. Efforts are greatly appreciated by all who participate in this task. Maintaining the courts are a concern. In addition to monthly utility costs, lawn maintenance, wind screen repair/replacement and general upkeep is all provided by LOTA.
